The essence of trauma is a disconnect from the self. Therefore the essence of healing is not just uncovering one's past, but reconnecting with oneself in the present.

About Me

My journey as a psychotherapist started through my own body on my yoga mat.  Finding yoga helped me to reconnect with my body and interpret physical sensations which I was able to link to early unprocessed trauma and difficult emotions - my body was giving me clues about what had happened in my early childhood that I was not able to verbalise. Tuning into my body through yoga healed me - finding my voice through personal therapy helped me to come back to my authentic self, which inspired my counselling/psychotherapy studies – I hope my approach will inspire you too.

Being a qualified yoga practitioner also draws me to think about my clients holistically considering both mind and body - I can offer breathwork, mindfulness and trauma based grounding techniques which can be calming and help reconnect and regulate both body and mind.

As an experienced accredited member of the British association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I have reached their requirements for a higher standard as a competent, ethical and independent practitioner MBACP (Accred).  Which also means that I have many hours of experience working with clients.

“I started my therapy sessions with Tina when I felt overwhelmed by most aspects of my life and had no clear sense of my future. I felt stuck.
Through our journey together I have gained so much knowledge and awareness of myself, my past and my relationships.
Now I am also able to cut through noise and make sense of my future without feeling overwhelmed.
Tina has helped me to explore my past in a calm and warm manner. I felt safe to talk about all the things I normally wouldn’t say out loud and not feel judged.
Thank you for your time and patience.”
